Special Projects
Melody Parrette is a San Diego native and PR executive with 15 plus years of entertainment, high-tech and consumer products experience. She started her career at CastleRock Entertainment, first answering fan mail and worked her way up to managing publicity for major motion pictures as well as hit TV show Seinfeld. Leaving Hollywood for ‟real life,” Parrette continued her career at LA’s top-rated agency Manning, Selvage and Lee where she ran programs for major national brands such as Nestle, General Mills, Mattel, Nike and Mitsubishi.
With a quick dip back into entertainment at Artists Management Group, Parrette landed with former MS&L colleague Leasa Ireland at LPI Communications. In her nine years with LPI, Parrette has been an account lead for Amp’d Mobile, Kyocera Wireless, Sanyo, Blue Shield of California, Childish Clothing and Transaction Wireless, among others.
Dedicated to client service and media relations, Parrette’s results speak for themselves with features and product coverage in hundreds of national and top-tier news outlets across the country, most recently Wall Street Journal, USA Today, San Diego Union Tribune and Popular Science. New product launches, celebrity outreach, product placement, key message development/executive counsel, media and analyst relations and strategic planning are all a part of her daily life at LPI.
When she’s not handling a new product or hand holding a reporter through a feature, she can be found with her four children, coaching a national-trophy winning cheerleading squad or serving as a board member for the Solana Beach Foundation for Learning and Torrey Pines Pop Warner.
